Mahane Yehuda Market

Tomorrow we leave for a few days to go to Jordan. I am so excited! We are going to Petra and other amazing places. I went out to West Jerusalem today.

Palestinian boys walking along.

Israeli Santa

I need to use the light rail system here some time

Mahane Yehuda outdoor market commonly called the "Shuk"

Ok I was trying to show how big these pomegranates are... can't really tell in this picture because my hand blocks most of it but they are huge!

Goldfish

I was walking along taking pictures when one of the shopkeepers thought it would be really funny to make this guy (perhaps his son or nephew) take a picture with me. He obliged but the other men were teasing him.

Just picture lots of Israeli storekeepers cracking themselves up in Hebrew over this picture.  Notice the bananas in the background? Hilarious.

Where's Grandma?

"Wait hold up... Did I just walk past a giant?"

"Excuse me, can I take a picture with you?"
---"Yeah, sure one second"

Pretty sure this is the tallest guy in the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces)
((I hope you see this Karen))

Life is good.

Just having a great time.

See the man in the window? That's my friend Jed. This is at the Damascus Gate, one of the entrances to the Old City.

Donkeys everywhere!
Well I know my posts are getting to be extremely sporadic and random but life here in Jerusalem always has this wonderful element of spontaneity. I am so happy each and every day. I feel so very blessed to be here.
