Arab Night

We had a traditional Arab dinner last week. Everyone dressed up and ate lots of food and we learned some traditional folk dancing. So fun.
Arab night!!
The two men on the right are a father and son duo that read the Koran at the Al-aqsa Mosque on Temple Mount. This position has been held by someone in their family for 500 years. They read a section of the Koran and they said the call to prayer. Even though it sounds like singing to our American ears they are actually reading. The sound of their voices reverberated throughout the room. It was magnificent.

This is my first video... the recording definitely does not do the experience justice.

OH did I forget to mention?

Traditional Arab feast. Meat, meat, and more meat.
